Recipe of The Week - Valentine Scones

Valentines day is next weekend, so why not make your loved one some scones for a sweet afternoon treat. Printable Here

You Will Need...
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius, and line a baking tray with baking paper.Place flour, salt & butter in a bowl.
Mix in with your fingertips until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.Make a well in the centre and add about 3/4 of the milk. (You might not need the whole cup, just wait and see) Mix together to form a dough.Knead lightly on a floured surface, and then roll out.Cut out your shapes and place on a baking tray lined with paper.Bake for about 15 minutes until scones are just starting to get some colour.Wrap in your sweetest tea towel straight away.
These are best served warm spread with jam and cream, or even just a bit of melted butter. The perfect afternoon snack.
You can make these with any kind of cutter for a quick and easy afternoon snack. You can also add dried fruits like dates or sultanas - if you like them.
